EA Good Practice Guides
The Environment Agency Good Practice Guides for low head schemes were published in July 2009 in collaboration with the British Hydropower Association. A new set of guides for high head schemes should be completed during 2010.
The guides will be reviewed at approximately 6 month intervals and changed as necessary.
One important area of the low head guide is the necessity for more evidence based information with regard to screening.
