EA Good Practice Guides

The Environment Agency Good Practice Guidance for low head schemes were published in July 2009 in collaboration with the British Hydropower Association. A review of the guidance and adaptation for high head schemes was started in late 2010.

The guides will then be reviewed regularly and changed as necessary.

One important area of the low head guide is the necessity for more evidence based information with regard to screening.
