Details :
Originally two or three water wheels were in use but in 1908 these were replaced by turbines, operating at around 20ft head. After WW2 these were converted to provide electricity for the mill. Since 1985 the electricity generated has been exported to the Grid. Average delivery to the Grid has been 200,000kWh/year. Several parts of the scheme have been refurbished.
