Ian Cook Consulting Ltd (ICCL) is a small Hydro Engineering Consultancy. The Principle, Ian Cook ,has been working with Hydro Power for over 20 years on hydro machines from a few kVA to those of 330 MVA. We specialise in:
1. Project Management of all disciplines of engineering to time and budget.
2. Electrical Engineering, including HV, associated with Hydro Generators and their connection to a power system. Professional qualification is in Power Electrical Engineering. This work includes earthing to the ground of power systems and all issues associated with connection to a DNO.
3. Systems engineering; that of addressing all issues of engineering design for a hydro power station.
4. Developing new hydro power plants.Details of some projects undertaken:
1. Project Management of pipeline refurbishment, turbine rebuild after catastrophic failure, switchgear (inc HV) and transformer maintenance, generator repairs and cleaning, governor replacement, control room refurbishment, many others.
2. All aspects of the development of hydro power stations.
3. Strategic Spares projects
4. Fault Investigation.
