Derwent Hydroelectric Power Limited is an active hydro site owner/ developer/ generator working at five sites with a combined capacity of 900kW located in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. Since incorporation in 1988, we have built up extensive experience-based knowledge in all aspects of micro hydro and can offer services such as feasibility studies, design, build, supply, refurbishment and commissioning. We can provide turbines and water wheels from 1kW to 250kW and have a particular interest in low head hydro. We also have a small number of second hand turbines available. We look forward to seeing more of the UK’s hydro resource sensitively developed in the future.
